An unexpected trip to Oregon for Christmas!  What a beautiful backdrop for the photo of our new home!

Laughter really is medicine for the soul! 
I'm so lucky to have a husband that  makes me laugh on almost a daily basis!  

Spectacular Bloom!

 Have you ever seen such a beautiful sight?  This year the Foxgloves took over every spare piece of dirt!  I can't complain because the flowers were spectacular!  I hope you enjoy them as much as me!  Make sure and click on the photo to enlarge - it's worth it!

Oh how I love Petunias!!

 

Container gardening is the BEST!  Living in the desert and working full-time has made me realize the importance of keeping things simple.  I LOVE flowers, so containers and small flower beds have helped me enjoy gardening during Spring, Summer, and Fall!

Morning coffee...

Do you have that special spot you can go to and relax?

We have a small gazebo type structure that is attached to our

home.  In spite of the hot weather, I love sitting there in the morning,

afternoon, or evening.  The area is shaded for the most part

and I love that quiet time to sit and reflect.

Beach Ball Dresden...

One of my favorite blocks to make is the Dresden block.  This particular version is called the Beach Ball Dresden.  I used a bigger ruler and I love how it turned out.  It's such a great way to use up your scraps.  Now, to finish all 35 blocks and put this quilt together!
